I think they passed it Gary! Look at these features!

This is the Futaba 14MZ 14-Channel Computer Airplane Radio
with the R5014DPS 14-Channel Receiver.

2048 PCM Resolution-a Futaba Industry First-Double The Resolution
of the 9Z.
17.6 Millisecond Frame Rate, 40% Faster Than The 28.5 Millisecond
Frame Rate of The 9Z.

**Additional Technical Info Will Be Added When It Becomes Available**

FEATURES: "Wireless Frequency Setting System" (WFSS) allows user to select
desired channel from the frequency-synthesized transmitter and
send a signal to the specific R5014DPS receiver programmed to
accept it. The receiver will then be set to the same frequency.
Supports seven different wing types, four tail types, three motor
types and seven helicopter swash types.
"Backwards Compatibility" means the 14MZ can transmit in 2048 PCM-G3,
1024 PCM and FM/PPM.
Programmable by the Dial-N-Key system or by touch. A transflexible
LCD screen uses full color and enhanced graphics to simplify
things either way. Backlighting and adjustable contrast for full
visibility even in full sunlight.
For maximum efficiency of every function the 14MZ uses dual internal
processors-one uses the Windows CE 32 bit operating system that
controls the operating, communications and programming functions.
The other is the Custom Futaba Processor that manages all flying
R5014DPS 14-channel receiver with miniature "Ball Grid Array"
circuitry is approximately the size of the R309DPS 9-channel

flying time.
Fully assignable switches can also be moved by opening compartment on
top. Four "slide-through" switches on sides of transmitter can be
operated with a thumb from the front or with other fingers from
the back. Can assign up to 32 selectable functions and 9 flight
Dual ball bearing supported sticks on each axis with an improved
potentiometer for unprecedented levels of control precision.
Flash Card-compatible allows storage of music, voice and jpeg files,
pull software upgrades off the web, expand model memory from 30-100
and enhance model naming by including jpegs of models.
Built-in microphone and playback system with earphones allows self
critiques while flying or calling pattern maneuvers during
competition-records up to 24 assignable voice prompts.
