Well I did not fly in the Cross Country this year.....

MY daughter got married.... so I was required to attand that event

from years that I have flown.. endurance.... you need fuel and battery for about 45 to 60 minutes.... for each leg.

Taking off from the Sun Parlor (Windsor) field and going to the Southern R/C Flyers field (Staples) will take about 45 mins. driving at 79 to 80 Kph.

YOU then land at the Staples field and EAT - and refueld and recharge batteries if need.

Then off the the Chatham field... again about 45 mins. away.... if all goes well.

Each TEAM has a min. of 3 people. 1 driver - pilot and co-pilot...spotter.

the co-pilot/spotter is very important.... he has to keep the pilot informed about what is coming at him....

tress that could block his view.... stop signs.... when the truck is going to start to go again after stopping at and stop sign and waiting for traffic.

looking UP watching your plane for 45 mins. is hard on the NECK.... so having a co-pilot to give you a little break is GREAT too.
