Savage 25 Receiver trouble

New to this - having trouble with my new Savage receiver. It does not seem to carry further than a 20 foot range before losing control of the truck. Receiver wire length is 38 inches long - is this the norm ? Contacted HPI by email and was informed to call California ? Any suggestions ?

Losing interest fast !!!

Heres some things to check . Battery power is up .any loose metal vibrating. loose washers , anything metal on metal will cause radio frequency problems , What about your tx antenna is it in all the way in have you had it out of the tx case. try another one if you can get one. Try remote without running the truck and walk away from it to see what happens . anyways you can pm me on how you made out. Well good luck

Do you use alkaline AA batteries, or AA rechargeables? alkalines have 1.5v while rechargeables usually only have 1.2v which could explain the shortfall
