Midwest Super Chipmunk

Hi a few years ago I purchased a Midwest Super Chipmunk from here and sort of put it a side and forgot about it. I was a bit disappointed it was as advertised by the seller just not what I had pictured in my head.

yesterday I took another look at it and I think it will be next winters build project it is foam and probably classed as an ARF. The Fuselage halfs are joined, and will need some filling on the seam

I am wondering if anyone on here has one and has any pictures of the radio compartment. the instructions are not the greatest and I almost wonder if I am missing part of them.

Any Pictures would be greatly appreciated it looks like it will be fun to fly and a different build.

The only links I find are of my model changing hands it looks and others forsale but I cannot find any good ones of a complete model

Thanks

C

Re: Midwest Super Chipmunk

I did as well as yahoo'd it and only found completed pictures never any with the wing off looking at the radio installation or the engine and fuel tank.

I'll figure it out winter can get long.

Re: Midwest Super Chipmunk

Is that the one with the foam wing and profile wood fuselage that has a plastic fuselage clam-shelled around it?

Re: Midwest Super Chipmunk

I think Max is refering to the old Sig kit. Quik build I think they called it. I had the old midwest foam one. I managed to get an O.S. 25 into the nose and a 4 oz tank. It flew great! one of my favorites.

Re: Midwest Super Chipmunk

Lake FLyer I'm hoping to use the same engine, haven't thought far enough ahead to consider fuel tank but will try to copy you with 4oz

do you recall what you used to paint it?
