Agree with Gary, check the rpm sensor a well as temp sensor. We just had had '44 rpm sensor failure here locally causing 'failed starts'.

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

Indeed it does. And when ramping. The temp does seem accurate. So I really don't think it's the temp probe.

I can attempt a start in the am and video it to show you what's going on.

I've taken the engine out and mounted it on a test stand to better source the problem. I even bypassed the solenoid thinking it wasn't opening. Still no go.

Even when I do the fuel pump prime (trims low and throttle to max) the pump vibrates like it's trying to pump but only for about 3 seconds. And no fuel comes out even when the line is disconnected and put into a cup.

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

And as for rpm sensor. On start it comes up to 20 or 30,000 on the propane and the rpm reads that fine also. Lol.

I'm stumped

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

A few other areas to look; fuel valve open, correct orientation on lines to input and output on fuel pump, checked the fuel filter for clog, no tygon line on input side(pick up) of fuel pump (will collapse under vacuum)

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

I emailed them yesterday but haven't heard back from them yet.

I'm leaning towards a bad Ecu. I'm also going to contact fadec about getting a new one unless I can find a used one.

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

the prime only pumps for a few seconds. do you have any other pumps that you can jerry rig to the ecu to test if it works. it sounds more like the pump is shot and not the ecu.

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

I've got a lead on another pump to try out. I'll be giving that a shot later today. Will update results lol

Re: Who's got some wren experience?

I've established its the Ecu which isn't supplying the fuel pump with the voltage for start.

So now I need to find a Fadec AU-354 Ecu. So if anyone knows where I can find one. That would be great.
