What should I use to fill cracks when building kits

I have a few cracks between balsa I have glued while making my something extra wings. (mostly where the sheeting meets the front edge) and I was wondering what I should use to fill the cracks in with ? They are up to about 3/16th of an inch in some places.

Hard to tell without seeing it.

For regular filler, I use common spackling compound. For larger areas, I have used a slurry or carpenter's glue and wood shavings/sawdust.

Just be sure you're not coveing up a potential weak spot, when in doubt, rebuild.

LePage Poly Instafil lightweight spackling compound. You'll know you have the right stuff when you pick up the container and it feels empty. Bought it at HD.

Mine is not to reason why; I just wire them up to fry...I mean Fly!

If you have 3/16 inch gaps I'd fit in some more balsa then fill in any void or low spot with a light weight filler, then sand smoth with a very light hand.

Pretty big gaps.
Should glue in balsa, then use spackling compound,
available at an local building store, to
smooth out.
