Expectations......hmmm that's a word that is used a lot these days. You expected the salesperson to know exactly what you wanted and when he didn't you were dissapointed. You expect the government to take care of you, you expect the healthcare system to treat you right now, you expect salespeople to be able to read your mind. I think one of our problems is that we expect everyone to "jump to the pump" and serve us right now and when they don't ........that is crappy service. Sometimes taking care of yourself goes along ways.

And here is the kicker you will go back to the same hobby shop after flaming the poor guy here on RCC and then you will come back to RCC complaining again. You can do something about it, don't go back. I know you have choices in Edmonton.

Re: LHS staff

Gee Mike ... I don't think that you actually read the previous posts!

They identified ONE member of the staff of a LHS as a 'POOR' employee and wondered why he still worked there, this person has a reputation as being SUBSTANDARD...

The fellow really should either buck up on the job or look for a different profession. To quote ... "When one person calls you a jackass, ignore it. When three people call you a jackass, get a saddle. ~Author unknown"

Enough said.

Re: LHS staff

The modern expectation now that you seem to have bought into is that the customer is expected to serve the business. Where and when that business model changed I'm not sure but it is getting more and more common.

As for my returning to that store, can I serve you by reposting the part you missed reading?

"I didn't name the place because I have dealt there with some very competent people in the past both in person and on line. Their on line service is second to none in my experience"

Does that sound like I'm never going back?

Re: LHS staff

IMO I believe it is rude that you guys are flaming that particular salesperson here on RCC. You guys have ganged up on this person, saying he is sub Standard, that the hobby shop should fire him, you won't deal with him and that he is incompetent. In my world that is bullying of the worst kind because he doesn't know it's going on.

I also believe he may have a good case for slander. Although you haven't identified him you have given enough of a description of this Salesman for persons reading these posts to infer who he is.

I am hoping the RCC police will kill this thread

I have no issue with this thread staying open. If the OP wants it closed then fine. M.S. has no say in this matter.
