I find anything that is designed to cut grease/oil works the best. We buy this concentrate at work for general purpose cleaning (its a basic solution, like a concentrated Fantastik) and I cut it 3:1 or so with water. It works well, and is cheap.

I will also have to try some of these ideas though... the foaming cleaner sounds like it would work well...

Clean up

I use windex now. when I used simple green I found that it faded the black mono coat, all other colours where ok thought

I have used the silcone [rainex] type windshield
waher cleaner. Work very well.

Hmmm not sure why Fantastic doesn't seem to work all that well for you. I've been using it for as long as I can remember and it has always worked .... well....excuse the pun ....but it works Fantastic!!! It cuts right through the oily mess for me!!

If you have a lot of oil on the surface, Fantastic, although it does take off the oily mess, it can leave a bit of streaking but then a quick final wipe with a bit of windex and its as shiny as new! I love the stuff!
