Sorry to hear that Wild Bill...being originally from South River Ontario I feel your pain. Perhaps if my LHS was that far away I would cool off before I got there...

Well I envy you if it's only 1 1/2 hours to the local hobby shop!!! For me, it is two hours each way plus a $50 ferry bill each way Then there is no guarantee they will have what you need. I have phoned him for special orders, and usually get what I need via snail mail in a week or two!! If I head to the big smoke (city) it's only 5 1/2 hours each way plus double ferry fees.

Needless to say, I support GH almost exclusively. by ordering extra all the time. Cheaper for me to pay the postage than the ferry fees, etc. Plus with the toll free lines, you can get on-line help when you need advice from their techies.

We do have a 'basement' hobby shop, but have been waiting for 4 or 5 years for the phone to ring and tell me the 3 bottles of 2oz CA I ordered is in!!!!!!

I will be travelling to Alberta next year, and you can bet I will probably drop a bundle in Calgary and Edmonton at the 'big' shops. Stock up while I can.

When travelling to the states, you can bet that my claim coming back will be all RC stuff. I have found a few shops in Oregon that seem to have anything I've ever needed (or just had to have ).

Just my 2 cents worth!!!

RC Bear,

There are more mail order place then just GH.

Like I said, HobbyHobby, (not to be confused with US firm HobbyLobby ), then there is Sunset Hobbies, Hobby Wholesale, Triad to name a few. Just check MAAC Mag I am sure you can find more.

I regularly shop at 3 LHS. I like to spread it around a bit so that I can quasi-guarantee at least one will be around for a while.

I myself have never ordered from GH but we have a club member who swears buy them and will not order from anyone else or visit a local Hobby Shop.

Hey, you guys think you have a long trip to your LHS A visit for me will be a 2 day plane ride and cost $3500.00, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Joe there's an Enya 90 for sale in the "Engines For Sale" thread. $250.00 SHIPPED and no Customs involved.

Wait until you see my Saito 270 next summer, you'll wish you didn't buy that piddley little .91. My only problem will be getting Erroll to stock enough fuel to keep it running.

Hey Guys,

Well ScaleGuy, I apologize for the confusion (Hobby-Hobby and Hobby Lobby). You were making to much sense, so I just needed a come back... Good on ya for supporting your LHS!!!

My .90 is less than piddley, it is INVISIBLE!!!!

Not sure about canning the OS for the Enya...I think a new OS .91 FS is a little more of a known entity in these parts, should I run into problems with a used Enya? Plus I do not want to cause any greif for my LHS owner by cancelling the order do to someone else's INCOMPETENCE!!! Thankyou GP!!

But I'm not bitter...
