Upper Canada Zone Fun Fly - Arnprior

Is there someone who can give to me the name and e-mail address of the CD/Organizer for subject event? It will take place on 01 August 2016. I have a couple of questions about the event and sent an e-mail to the website's contact address a week ago, but still have not received a response.

Thanks,

Peter

Re: Upper Canada Zone Fun Fly - Arnprior

This is the link to the Arnprior Club's Facebook page

http://www.facebook.com/ArnpriorRemoteControlClub/

where you can also post a question but as far as I know the event is hosted at their field with their help (a lot of help) but the Zone Director & members of other local clubs are also part of the team that work together every year so we can have a successful event. It's a grass field, 800 foot runway & jets have been allowed but we don't get many, and there is a separate area for heli's. Room for camping but no hook ups & the only electricity at the field is from generators. Photos from last years event are here.

and photos from this years "Huckin in the Valley" which has a better variety of photos showing the pits & canteen are here.

And there is a good drone photo of the field on the Facebook page.

Re: Upper Canada Zone Fun Fly - Arnprior

Hello Larry:

I'm familiar with your event photo coverage - we met at Arnprior last year, and possibly before My wife and I attended the fun fly in the past three years, with our travel trailer. We plan to be there again this year, however, since both my wife and I are now retired, instead of pulling up on Friday night, we would like to arrive on Thursday evening and camp Thurs, Fri and Sat night; because we travel from North Bay, the extra day makes the trip more enjoyable. My questions to the organizer of the event - are we permitted to arrive and camp on field a day early and are there gates or barricades that would prevent us from getting to the field?

Peter

Re: Upper Canada Zone Fun Fly - Arnprior

...oh, and I almost forgot - will there be the world famous turkey dinner served again on Saturday?

I had a look at some of your photos and found one that had both my wife and I in it

I don't know the answers but I'll make sure to get someone to answer your questions. I'll contact a couple of people from the ARCC who should know.
