Fried my Futaba12fg today

One thing for sure is I can't be accused of being too bright. Was all excited, cranked and jerked about getting the Beast x to function when the low battery warning went off in my radio. So I quickly plugged another Lypo battery in backwards and fried the big board in the centre that sends the signal out from the radio. So there it sits half roasted with a partially assembled Beastx waiting for the next radio. It's a 12fg so if anyone has parts for those let me know please!

Re: Fried my Futaba12fg today

Can you post a closeup pic of the board? It may be nothing more complex than a Zener diode.

I found that same problem on a 7C, (I bought it non-functioning). There was also a diode in the 8U's that prevented charging the battery in the Tx directly.

I was just reading this and thinking the same thing, this could be a simple fix.
