1/4 SCALE PA-18 SUPER CUB

Every now and again, something drops into your lap and you cann't say no.I recently received a ton of ole model magazines and a garbage bag full of model plans. After going through the plans,I discovered a set of 1/4 scale plans for a PA-18 Super Cub.They are by Gerald Nelson. The plans indicate a span of 105.5 for a span and all controll surfaceses appear to be pull pull cables and pullies.
It looks like the scale landing gear can be purchased throuht ROBARTS and a cowl through Fiberglass masters.
I have two questions. Has anyone built from these set of plans in the past and How does one go about checking out how accurate the plans are for scale outline? This could be a good first scale compitition model.
