LiPo packs with taps?

Are there any Canadian online vendors who sell LiPo packs that come center-tapped? I do worry about balancing issues as I use strictly 3S packs.

TIA,

Brad

A bunch of the latest Apogee packs will have taps (voltage port) including the 3S 830.....its not really needed though in these small packs that I have found....at least in the Apogee's anyways which are factory matched.

LI-PO'S with taps

the new Tanic pacs come with each cell wired (jst) conector to balance them
charge it as normal then
you check the voltage of each cell and if one needs topping up you can do it

Bryan: Is there a Canadian vendor for the Tanic packs? I've looked at these, but I'd prefer to stay in Canada if possible.

I looked up the Apogee packs at Zebra Hobbies - they have them, but they don't say anything about the balancing port. Is this a standard connector, or is it something funky that only PFM will (maybe) sell? http://www.pfmdistribution.com/

Its a very recent change made to only those packs listed on the apogeepacks.com site.....probably the next shipment that Henry gets in will have the new voltage ports. Drop him a note and he will let you know when he expects the new style packs in.
