F-18 nose weight attachment...

I have a Starmax F-18, which flies great until my latest flight. The trim started going all over, so I landed it. When I landed it I found something was rolling around inside. This happened to be the nose weight, in the second pic. In the first pic is the pocket of hot glue that used to hold the weight. What would be the best, most permanent, way of re-attaching this weight? Not sure if CA glue would hold metal or attach to the hot glue? Would epoxy or something else work better? Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks,

Tom

Re: F-18 nose weight attachment...

Wipe off the surface and surrounding material it is to be glued to with isopropyl alcohol to remove any oils from mould and fingers, same with the lead weight. Use epoxy. Never come Loose again.

Re: F-18 nose weight attachment...

Thanks, getting the hot glue off the inside of the plane will be hard, I can get a finger around to it via the battery compartment so will try and remove it...

I might end up putting the weight on the wall opposing it, it is within 1/2" so should not throw off the CofG much I would think...
