Re: Rules and regulations flying DJi inspire1

All aviation in Canada is governed by Transport Canada. Just go to tc.gc.ca and search for drones, Uavs, model aircraft. All the info is there about where you can fly, weight limits, and when you need an SFOC (special flight operating certificate).

Re: Rules and regulations flying DJi inspire1

The only real limitation for recreational use is 602.45 of the CARs which governs the operation of model aircraft. This regulation states "No person shall fly a model aircraft or a kite or launch a model rocket or a rocket of a type used in a fireworks display into cloud or in a manner that is or is likely to be hazardous to aviation safety".

The "hazardous to aviation safety" can be a pretty grey area.....

Keep in mind that you local government or city may have banned drones in certain areas. For example, all drones are banned in national parks, even drone for recreational use.

Also keep in mind that TC has a pretty wide definition of drone use for commercial service.......

Re: Rules and regulations flying DJi inspire1

thanks..i know Toronto parks have really clamped down , which is I can understand
but living in small rural areas and staying away from crowds should be no problem.
The only worry I have is a malfunction and it coming down ,hopefuly there will be some
control.
I have been flying DJI for 3. yrs but its getting a little scary now with all the bad media coverage of drones
