I bought a set of electric servoless pair for 3/16" rods. I cannot find a set screw to secure the landing gear rod on them. They were not included in the package. What is the size of it?

Re: Retracts

4/40 does not work. I tried all kind of threads I have on hand, nothing works. I wrote to the supplier to get the screws or at least the nomenclature.
Yes, the shaft is 5 mm, something rare to find already bent. I will use a 5/32" shaft with a K&S brass tubing 3/16" welded around the upper section.

Re: Retracts

This is when I do one of two things or both ...

1. I bought a massive assortment of small computer repair screws of eBay for about $4.00. I have maybe 50 types of tiny screws / bolts almost all with different threads. Usually, I find one that works perfectly. This was a wonderful investment and has saved me many, many times.

2. No luck ... I go up to the local hardware store and go to their metric parts counter with the part in my pocket. They have a massive assortment of diameters and threads. Their bicycle person knows me well, and he often has some suggestions that aren't on the shelf.

When all else fails, I have once had to resort to retapping a part out. I don't recommend this since the majority of readily available tap/die units are not small or fine enough for hobby use.

There is always a way ... and it is usually simple.
