If they run well then use them.

If they don't then atleast you didn't spend a fortune on it.

Sorry to hear that yours caused a crash, I really sucks when you get a deadstick like that.

If Fonthill is near Belleville Ont. bring it over and I will see what I can do no charge.

If Fonthill is near Belleville Ont. bring it over and I will see what I can do no charge. I am an aircraft mechanic with sixty years experience and I have been running model aircraft engines since 1948.

The 2 cities are quite far away.

The problem is, the parts are difficult to get. Generally, if you have an experieced modeller look over it, and he is not able to get it running right, then something is wrong, and needs to be fixed.

Re: GMS engine quits

GMS made the worst RC engine on the planet. One day they would run perfect, the next day you could not start them, if they started, it was impossible to set up the tuning..............Buy an O.S. or Saito engine and welcome to reliability!

Re: GMS engine quits

Had quite a few GMS around here and the only problem was getting them to stop running/shutdown.

And the kind of "tinny" sound when they were running.

If someone in his area wants to look at the engine for him I have lots of carb parts for the common sized engines. If you need any that I have I'll ship them for free. If you need a set of bearings I'll also ship a set of C3 all steel for free. I always use a sealed front bearing in all my engines, it eliminates any air leak from the bearing. Cheers Floyd

Re: GMS engine quits

I have a GMS 76 as long as I leave the OS carb on it you can't kill it. Put the gms carb on and look out dead stick city. All over the place too, sometime high, sometime idle. but with the OS carb solid!!
