dig something extra landing gear

I am building a sig something extra and I am at the stage where I am going to put the blind nuts , for the landing gear on . I am thinking about using nylon bolts to mount the landing gear. The plans call for three 6-32 bolts. My question is if i went to a nylon bolt should I go to a larger diameter bolt? If so what size should I use. I am contemplating the nylon bolts because if you miss the run way where we fly you could be in a world of hurt from the rough terrain

i asked the same thing

and then i went with metal bolts. but i also ripped my fuse in half one time when i came dangerously close to crashing. not really a crash, almost a recovery, but it was definitely a crash site after.

i was told to go up to quarter inch nylon, not to use #6 nylon bolts. but i don't believe it. i dare you to bolt the landing gear on with 3 #6 nylon bolts, put the fuse in a bench vise, and try to rip it off the landing gear with out damaging the plane.

my own opinion, not affiliated with the moderators or rc experts of rccanada and.......................disclaimer
