BTW, the Horus is a fantastic unit you'll enjoy it. It has a solid feel to it (now that someone else has a production unit) they'll also confirm that it is heavier than a JR or Taranis.

Re: FrSky Horus Tx first production run being delivered

Did FrTX firmware update. Seemed to be easy and successful first shot.

Looking around a bit into OS after update and all I can say so far is

Charging for now then maybe try a bind.

You'll gigle at the tiny voice "internal bind" while binding.

Binding in D8 or D16 Mode seemed uneventful.

Caveat is that there was no evidence of success. She just keeps saying "Internal Bind". Power cycle Rx and it seems to be lit up proper, Telemetry active. No servos hooked up yet.

Re: FrSky Horus Tx first production run being delivered

When binding x series receivers, please make sure you change the Model Number. The Model number is what should be unique to the model for model match.

I should have said detailed.

All I can say is the FrTX GUI is well organized, well labeled, and flexible to a degree that I can only yet imagine.

It really looks likes it is capable of everything important about OTX.

Re: FrSky Horus Tx first production run being delivered

Big fail on the front slider buttons. Just barely sitting on the metal bar. Really thin plastic with no friction device at all to hold them on. I can see them getting retrofitted with something else. Maybe fab up aluminum with set screw.

Re: FrSky Horus Tx first production run being delivered

An idea on how extensive the abilities are I counted up over 130 discreet pages for inputting settings etc.

Has an easily navigated file structure.

Re: FrSky Horus Tx first production run being delivered

Seen a lot of posting about poor range with Internal antenna. Have done a bit of testing myself. The Internal drops out a few paces before External when in Range Check mode just outside 50 meters.

A whole lot of hoopla for the most part as guys are flying gliders at 250m AGL and significant downrange with no issues on Internal antenna.
