60 sized ugly stick fuse or plans
Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I've got a pal who has an ugly stick wing and nothing else. Gosh now he is daydreaming. It is for a 60 sized GP ugly stick.
I have a spare set of 72" span wing here and flying feathers.
So, I/we are looking for fuselages (2 of them actually) or fuse kits or a set of plans please.

I don't have the GP plans, but I ordered the original full size RCM Magazine plans with a copy of the original article last fall since I could not find it as a kit.
My first real flying plane was the Ugly Stick and I really liked it. As luck would have it, I found a damaged one right afteer I got the plans, so I fixed it up and that is my fun fly plane - I've never had to use the plans. I think the full price was around $20.00 with shipping, so I'd sell them for that plus shipping. If you can find your way here, you can copy any dimensions you need no charge.
The Ugly Stick is very stable plane overall. Personally, I don't go with the full 3 inch dihedral total, I go with 1.5 inches total, so mine is a little more lively and can do all the manuevers except for knife edge flight and it is very predictable in flight. I would think it would make an excellent second plane ( but I learned on one ).
It is an easy straight forward build.
The specs are:
Wing Span 60 in
Wing cord 12.5 in
Wing area 720 sq in
Dihedral 1.5 at each wing tip (3 in total)
Fuse lenght 46 in
Stab span 22 in
Stab cord 7.5 in
Stab area 160 sq in
Vert fin height 8 in
Vert fin width wit rudder 11.5 in
Tank 12 oz
Ready to fly weight 6 lbs
Wing loading 18.5 oz per sq ft
I have another person who is interested, but I havent heard from them in a day or so.
PM or email me if you are interested.
