3-1/2" Spinner

Not sure if this is the place to put this but,,,,,,,

I have to open up the slot for the prop on a
Dave Brown 3-1/2" spinner and my Dubro
balance is NOT large enough to accomodate
this large spinner. Therefore I can not balance
the spinner. Any suggestions?
Is there a balancer that can accomodate
the larger spinners?

Bal Spinner

Steven: Don't know what kind of balancer you have, I have a Robart one much the same as the Dubro. I made a wood base for mine so I can spread the two "upright pieces" apart, then cut a length of music wire, same dia. as original, as long as I needed, then using the original "clamps/holders" against the spinner. I usually balance the backplate first and the do the backplate and cone together next. I have done up to 6" spinners without a problem. Hope this will help you.

Don: Funny you should say that.
I was looking at my balancer and was
thinking the same thing. It is nice to know
that someone had the same problem and
solved it. I will do the same.
Thanks
