Where is it still leaking?

4-strokes seem much more vulnerable to contamination in the fuel system. You may need to pull the HS needle and blow it out or take the carb off, remove the barrel and try to flush out the needles.

Due to that my 4-strokes get a filter as close to the carb inlet as realistically possible.

OS normally gives instructions with a picture of how to initially set the LS needle. If still having a problem clean the carb as recommended.

Yes. That's the engine I found at the London Swap Meet for $60 with the stuck exhaust valve and cross threaded glow hole. With that kind of care the marks should be self explanatory.

For that price thought it worth it even if for spares for the first, but it had not completed break in yet and after little work is now on it's third season.

Re: Os max 61 4 stroke.....help!!

Thanks Bill and Gary. I do run a fuel filter on all my motors(just feels dirty to not), I'm not sure where the leak is I think it might just be the vent line is cracked I will change that tonight a check again. I will pull the needel and blow things out. And yes never even thought to check the stock setting and go back to them. But I will tonight and go from there. Kinda out of time this week have to get my big stuff ready for the fun fly this weekend. Thanks guys I'll keep you posted.

Re: Os max 61 4 stroke.....help!!

as far as I know there was no low speed needle on the os 61 , they have a air bleed carbs unless it's been changed . the saito 65 carb is a direct fit and works much better because it has a low speed needle. I forgot all about that when I mentioned how well the 61 runs ,come to think of it I never had much luck with the motor until I changed the carb . I would look for a saito carb night and day for that engine. Roger

If there was no response when adjusting you have a severe air leak.

Re: Os max 61 4 stroke.....help!!

I miss spoke it did change things a little, in the manual they call for 1-2 turns, I'm use to blade thickness adjustments. So I will keep playing with it. It idled good before sealing the intake tube, so it must just be in the tuning. I hope!!! It's kinda one of those planes that every 3-4 months you think hey I still have that and it needs to be flow. So this could take some time. Thanks guys.
