Can't start my OS Hyper Z 0.55, any suggestions where to start? Fuel looks like it is getting in and I changed the filter, fuel and all lines and the glow plug. Nothing. Last year she ran perfectly.

thanks

How is your glow plug battery for power?

Re: Can't start my OS Hyper Z 0.55

Is the engine side mount or inverted? All 2S engines require to be primed with a little fuel especially the first start of the day. I drill a hole in the air duct just above the carb. I use a squirt bottle with a short piece of fuel line on it and a piece of brass tube stuck on the end. That way the hole does not have to be very large. Prime it and spin it over a few times without the glow plug heat on. put the glow plug heat on if it does not start right away, do the procedure twice.

Re: Can't start my OS Hyper Z 0.55

Joe Trinidad recommended I check the compression. I didn't think it was low but went and bought a Piston Ring anyway. After taking it apart, the ring was half locked and seized inside of the piston ring groove. So this all makes sense now. It was NOT at its operating compression. $22 bucks later and I am back in business... now for no reason I have an Align 3GX Gyro smoking. I posted that in the Heli area. One never wins do we?

You will win, it takes time to get all the possible variables addressed up front.

OK having said that what battery, BEC or regulator voltage.

What is your set up
