A local R/C flyer here just called to say he has a pair of ORIGINAL Merco Muffler bolts!!

I'll be going over to check them out this weekend.

Meanwhile, I can't thank you all enough for all the great and helpful feedback I've had on such a small problem.

You're all a GREAT bunch, and besides being supremely grateful to you all, I'm also impressed by such willingness on your part to take the time and make the effort to share your collective knowledge and experience with a newbie like me to this group!!

Merco .61 Twin-Plug Glo Engine - the muffler bolts FIT!

Just to let you all know the bolts I acquired this weekend were originals and therefore fit perfectly!

Once you know the thread it may not be easy to get a couple to fit. Lots of times I will retap to 6/32 and use a piece of 6/32 ready rod from a bolt supply for new ones. Then you have lots of spares later.
