Not painted by me. On checking, it appears that the paint is Rustoleum Plastic, Navy Blue no.212037.

It is not cracking, peeling or flaking off. You'd never know that the plane was not covered in that colour originally if nobody told you.

Re: Giant Super Decathlon by RC Guys dark blue

Hi Cheshire, I'm looking for one as per my add in wanted airplane to recover it with Solartex and paint this coming winter but the distance seems to be a problem unless you know someone coming to Montréal in a near future. I am willing to give you your asking price of $375. if you can find a way so I get it. I understand you can't ship it by transport on account of the size, the crate and so on. Thanks

Jean

My problem is all craft are stored in the house, so gas is not an option.

Re: Giant Super Decathlon by RC Guys dark blue

Gary,

If it helps the sales, I do have a VERY low time SuperTigre 2300 which was the engine of choice, as can be seen in Video 1 at the RC Guy site.

http://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=455673

It also comes with a Bisson Pitts style muffler, it is yours free for the asking if you buy that Decathlon from Ches.

Now you can bring that big plane into the house without having the wife complaining about the gas fume smell.

Just let me know when you take delivery of the plane.

Re: Giant Super Decathlon by RC Guys dark blue

According to RC Guys, the plane should fly well with a ST 2300. It's only about 14lbs.

Years ago I flew a Sig 1/4 size clipped wing Cub at about 15lbs off water. Way way more than enough power with an OS 1.08FSR. Ballistic, instant take offs with no take off run or scale. And no gasoline smell either.
