Small Electric Pattern plane for practice?

I don't like flying my 2M F3A when there are a lot of weekend fliers about so I'm thinking I would like to have a smaller pattern plane to fly on the weekends when the club is busy. Who wants to be practicing with thier 2M pattern plane when a bunch of Sunday fliers are tearing up the sky at the same time?

Also on weekends I like to bring a variety of flying machines, so a smaller pattern plane would be great to have in the mix and still have room in the car for other planes.

So. What's out there that is compact yet pattern capable?

I would like to go with something electric, since I have pretty much given up flying nitros.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Re: Small Electric Pattern plane for practice?

Well, that didnt take long.

Tonight as I was searching for electric pattern planes, I was seriously looking at getting the FMS F3A Olympus from Motion RC:

Then tonight on RCC Alex posted an FMS F3A Explorer. What a fortunate coincidence
http://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=458258

So I looked it up- not quite as large as the Olympus but runs on 3S or 4S packs. I have plenty of those on hand. Otherwise, I was looking at having to get 2 or 3 6S4000's for the Olympus.

Here's the Explorer:

I think I'll give it a try. I'm meeting Alex in the morning to pick it up. If it doesnt work out, I might try the Olympus later.
