I am looking for a good recommended set up for my throttle and pitch curves. My heli is the hk 450 gt and my tx is the futaba t10cap. The heli is a flybar type and im just a beginner with helis. Any recommended settings would be apreciated, thanks.

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

I have no easy way to scan and send or post my 450 setting sheet for Futaba, but if you can wait I may be able to do so by the end of the week.

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

You need to set it up properly first.
Servos set to 90 degrees when stick is at 1/2 (and output is linear), then set the blade pitch to 0

From there I usually start with pitch lowstick at 35%, mid at 65% and top at 100

Leave throttle linear and do a test flight, then adjust throttle to get a good hover RPM at 1/2 stick (Flight mode Normal)

Set up Stunt 1 and Stunt 2 flightmodes later after you gain some experience

I'm patient I can wait. Even if it's just a picture of the lcd screen with the setting that would work just fine for me. Thanks

Is that for the pitch or throttle curve? And what about the negative values?

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

Servo arms to 90 Degrees when at mid stick
Blade pitch set at zero mid stick
-1 to +5 total should be enough

Throttle 0 25 50 75 100

Pitch 45 47.5 50 60 80

Yes I have all the arms set to 90 and moving correct directions. That seems right for the throttle curve but don't I want some negative pitch too?

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

The actual values will depend on your particular ESC, motor and even blades, but I can give you what I set on mine.

Unfortunately the 8U these were based on is also only 5 points. The upper and lower values should be the same with you tailoring the rest for your throttle/pitch response:

Throttle Pitch

Pos 1 19 10
Pos 2 31 28
Pos 3 50 44
Pos 4 75 68
Pos 5 100 75

NOTE: This was a belt tail. Not sure if that would have any affect over shaft.
