Ok "gray" I'm going with your set up for the test hover because yours was a 1-7 (futaba set up).. (though I'm waiting for some good weather) only issue is I could not get 47.5 on my pitch curve for position (3) so I went with 47. thanks everyone for the help as I am a noob with heli's though I could answer nearly any question on a nitro plane as that's my main area of interest. if anyone has any suggestions for my set up you feel could help me please by all means share them, thanks again.

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

one more thing I'm curious on. my position hold is on same switch as my throttle cut. is this a bad idea? also should note that with the position hold my tail servo goes all the way to one end and stays there on it's own without stick input. I'm sure it's not supposed to do that

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

With the TX - RX and Gyro on use a couple of points of sub trim, try each way left right until the servo stops hunting

Re: Throttle, and pitch curves?

I just use the bottom , middle and the high points the rest are inhibited that seems to work good and is easy to setup

I'm assuming when you say position hold you mean gyro Rate Mode vs Heading Hold ? If so, I would definitely split them up.

Yes, this is actually NORMAL when in Heading Hold. that is because when you are on the ground, the gyro is trying to apply heading hold but the tail isn't spinning. Once you spool up and the tail starts spinning, the gyro will put the servo in the right position to hold the tails steady for lift-off
