I have also purchased an engine from JetCat USA.
They were able to deliver early and kept me in the
loop with return phone calls, also answering any
questions I had

Thanks Dean, the intent of this thread was not to attack Jetcat, but simply to point out how better Wren's support is. I have Jetcat engines as well and I am very happy with them.

I had specific questions on exact mechanical dimensions, power, set-up, weight and Wren took the time and discussed these with me on the phone, then emailed me details and faxed me detailed dimensional drawings, and installation constraints while Jetcat said they do not have the time and asked me to send an email to Bob which I did, and I got a very basic incomplete drawing.

That's it really.

Hi Guys,
Having had many an email conversation with Sara, but never owning one of Wren's complete engines, I have bought several engine parts from her over the years. Wren is professional in all aspects of their operation. However; JetCat is no less professional, in fact I was at their Los Angeles based operation twice in the last 10 days while I am here in sunny CA (its starting to rain right now). They are fast helpfull and courteous. What we sometimes don't get to see is that they were positioned in the marketplace to have a massive surge in their sales after the RAM departure, and they are still growing. In my opinion they are the fastest growth company in our niche of the sport.

Having that sort of customer base is a difficult thing to keep abreast with, but Bob and John and Justin etc. are doing it very well. Whatever parts I need they have IN STOCK, and are very eager to please. Heck even Corky was spaced out from a surgery but even he still wagged his tail when I came in the door! ! ! Dean, here in Canada, has gone above and beyond the call of duty and made me a second JetCat engine owner, with the current P-80 sales event!

I am not sure what Peter has experienced this one time, but everyone can have an off day. I doubt that extolling the virtues or lack thereof, out here on the 'net, is productive in any fashion. We need not reduce ourselves to the level of other forums that debate, constantly ad nauseum, the merits of brand x vs brand y, be it engine, service, support, or personell.

I have to agree I personally think Wren are one of the best turbine companys, probably top 3 as far as engineering quality goes that I have seen in my opinion...
Wrens customer support is truly second to none period!.... I have yet to hear a bad word spoken about their turbines anywhere! One thing that notably seperates Wren from some of the 'other' brands is they are the designers and manufacturer as well as service centre and customer support so no middle man is involved, And above that the Wren turbine service interval period (hr's) wise and component life over other brands is truly worthy of serious consideration when considering purchasing a turbine, as the cost of frequent servicing on 'some' brands could honestly pay for 2 or maybe even 3!!! more turbines over the course of engine ownership if you do the math!....Consider service costs and what components are being replaced at which service intervals!!!? this is somthing that is starting to come to light now as more and more as people log higher hours/run cycles on their turbines and face hefty service fees....
This is a subject thats rarly discussed or advertised among many of the manufacturers when promoting their engines.... Ive said it before and will again the true sign of turbine engineering quality really has to do way more with than just saturation marketing! but with the service cycle period and component life span and cost involved between replacment of bearings, chambers etc... thats where the product quality shows with turbine engines IMHO. Wren are up there with the best simply put.... 100-200 hrs+ is what I look for in a turbine before requiring costly service ie bearings, chamber etc etc replaced....

No doubt WREN is a good company judging by the response on this form. I also must add my experience with Jet Cat. It has been excellent. They have been very helpful in helping me resolve a dispute with UPS. They could have just ignored the problem as it was not theirs, but went out of their way to help. The turn around time for my P-80 was just astounding after I had a unexpected meeting with terra firma. I would not hesitate recommending these folks to others for friendly, timely service.

This is lifted from a post on RCU...

could be. ..Show me another manufacturer anywhere dealing with anything that without you asking them provides you with technical support and assistance at nine o'clock on a Sunday night....

Now that is hard to beat!!

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you will have to catch up.
