Hi flyers

First time putting a arf kit together Piper j-3 cub sixty
Having trouble with the engine mounting sato 91 four stroke
manual ask for 4-13/16 from fire wall to hub can't get 5-1/2
The cowl seems to be long for 4-13/16 will 5-1/2 be ok and will the c of g be ok with the motor a little ahead of spec?

I know a guy who put a saito 91 in his TT Cub. He had to mount it upright. He also had to add somthing like 11oz of weight to the tail. Couldn't get the thing to fly level no matter what. the torque was just too much. Now flys it wonderfully on a Saito 65.

I have a Hangar 9 81"WS Cub ARF (40 size?)with an ASP .61 four stroke and with floats it is just adequate. Someone else nearby has the same ARF on wheels with a TT .91 four stroke and it flies very well, not exactly scale, but it looks quite good in the air. I'm sure the engine was mounted on it's side with the head out on the right side, just like any other engine would normally be mounted. I believe th is very similar though it's been a few years since I saw one.
