Winter project #1 DONE.

Phaeton II with an OS 61. SF with a Bisson pits muffler painted in gloss white high temp. paint. You can't really see it in the pics but on each pipe there is a Canadian maple leaf painted as well. I used magic brand scotch tape and a sharp knife as a mask to air brush them. The Maple leafs on the wheel pants are air brushed as well. This is my first real attempt at airbrushing. The interplane struts on the stock plane are just held in place buy the presure of being sandwiched between both wings. I've seen many Phaetons of this size with poke holes in the covering. I bolted mine in place wuth solder lugs and 4-40 bolts threaded in place. I received this plane in a bag of many pieces and rebuilt it over the winter months. I used a combination of liquid mask, frisket film and magic brand scotch tape to do this plane. Weight is 7.5 lbs and balances right on spot with no added weight. On/Off switch and charge switch is located on the dash board in the cockpit. They can't be seen unless you look for them.
Winter project #2 is in the paint booth at the moment. To be seen

I've just finished a rebuild as well, and this makes me ill. I'll have to fly mine only when no one else is around. What a gorgeous job you have done! All thumbs up!

Very, VERY nice. I love it when we show off our Maple Leaf emblem in this way!

I stopped being politically correct when I found out that some people were offended by it.

Very pretty, although you may want to open up the front a bit more to allow for engine cooling!
