Checkout RCM's online plan cat. They published such a thing back in the 70's.

Wild Cat Fuels use to manufacture and sell a system called a Para-Cat which was a parachute that deployed and carried the whole plane back to the ground for a safe landing in an emergency or just for fun!

As has been stated, I know for a fact that there were articles in past Mags that show in detail how to build an RC parachute man. I'll see if I can locate it for you for you!

they are very easy to fly, slow and very responsive, but with a delay.
more throttle makes it go up, less throttle makes it go down, all at steady slow speed. adding a little power at landing makes for slow and very soft landings. just needs getting used to slow reaction time. relaxing evening flyers.
