London Hobby Shop

You should be aware that the prices there are normally higher than in Canada - when I travelled to England for work, we always joked that the prices were the same price in pounds, as it was in dollars in Canada!

However, they do use different parts, accessories etc. than we do. You should look at the accessories - they have neat stuff. I found nut and bolt "screw on" push rod retainers for servo arms (instead of friction fasteners), kits for servo/ receiver/ extension connectors.

I was in London a year ago and contacted Al's Hobbies. His two stores were recommended to me and the following was his response. I would suggest you contact him and visit the web site.

You would be more than welcome to visit any of our stores. The Hainault
store is approx 5-8 miles away from Canary Wharf. There is a tube
station about 100 yds away. (Hainault) On the central line.
My other Store Finchley is the bigger store but it is across town from
Canary wharf.
If you have a look at my web site there will be maps for all stores.
As for the Red shifts. I do remember these engines from when I was very
young but I have never had any experience with them before. It was a
pattern engine used mainly for F-3A. I seem to remember it being an
alternative to a OS 61 so a 12x7/8 would be a good starting point and
the experiment from there

Hopfully this helps.
