Pit stations and fences

I dont think they are worried about the pits or Maac would have demanded one..
Just seem to want to protect the pilots that are flying so as to not bring their planes down too..

Having 3 or 4 40% er's crashing down on the place because their pilots
got hit by errant planes on the ground isnt good...

I've been hit in the legs while in the pits and it hurts like he**
and if flying a plane I would have totally forgotten what is in the air...
Game over..So maybe this is why to protect the pilots..

I think Maac was wrong to not protect the pits...Any way we alll need safety first so if I had a choice put up the fences..
Once they have been sliced by an 18 inch prop they'll change their minds about the fence, I did...
Have a good day.....Tom.
Have a great day!!!

At the Flying Tiger's field near Hamilton, we have a pits fence about 18 " high with openings at the taxiways. We are going to increase the height of that fence to a meter (39".) Wouldn't dream of not using a pits fence in addition to the pilots fence.

Getting back to the "Flight Line" question, where is the flight line?
At our field the edge of the runway would be a WAY too far.
The centre line of the runway is what we unofficially use ( without really thinking about it.) And, although no one has really said anything we normally fly beyond the runway unless we are landing, doing touch and goes, etc.
