Got the new build up and running!

Well I have been messing around with the new "used" Shogun I bought abit ago, and finally got all the issues resolved and up and running. I had to change out the boom the guy had as he had it "fluted" on ends I am assuming to help with belt wear. However this was bad as it made the ends smaller, and exploded the gearcase and took out the original boom he had on it. So... after scouring the local archery club I got a good sized boom, not the color I wanted but it works good. You can notice from pictures it is quite abit longer than stock as well, 6cm longer. I rounded out the insides for the belt and put two small screws on the side of the plastic gearcase. Since he had a 44tooth main gear for the belt drive the back ends gets pretty crazy at anything over 90% throttle. I tached it tonight though and the main rotor is spinning at 2475 rpm at 88% throttle, so I am confident that should be enough headspeed, lol. In fact I set my idle 3 at top at 92% as anything over sounds like something is going to give.

Here are a few pics, I have not had time yet to change color of the canopy, so ignore that,. It was the color the gentlemen had on it before me. I am going to change it to a red/orange blend to go with the red scheme I started for it.

I am waiting for a few other small parts then I will start the build on my cf frame Shogun, which I am putting in a just go fly DH400 motor along with some other goodies.
