Interesting FLYING WIRE idea

There's a fellow in Sweden making flying wires to order. They seem to be pretty high quality, if a little pricy. What caught my eye is the attachment system. Essentially, his clevis threads onto the end of a bicycle spoke, and that then keys into the plates he makes. Ingenious, and could be fabricated at home with a little care, using spokes made 4-40 or 2-56 with a die and Dubru metal clevis ends. Use the clevis for adjusting tension. His hardware looks good too. Anyway, his web site is http://bredavik.se/flyingwire/ Pictures better than my explanation....I am thinking of getting his attachment stuff and using the Nelson flat wire (because I already have some and I am pretty nervous about ordering something fabricated to the exact length - rather screw it up myself). -Mike

I've been doing somwthing simular with wires for awhile. I simply get a threaded 256 wire and thread it into a nylon cleveis. Snip one arm of the clevis off and screw it into your hardpoint. The other end can be attached the same way or with a clevis into a horn. Here's a pic.
