Dehavilland Beaver - Wheel legs

I was given a scratch built Dehavilland Beaver from plans designed by Ed Westwood. The Plane is just about all done expcept for covering and some odds and ends. Plus some hanger rash that needs to be fixed.

The plans are designed with floats only. It shows no drawings to put wheels on the plane.

The wingspan is 70 1/4 inches, and it gives an engine size as 40-50 4-stroke. It givs no weight on the plane. It actually looks pretty scale.
What I am looking for is a way to know here to put the wheel legs. Is there a measurement from the firewall? Or just eyeball it.

Any ideas?

Check out Lots of photos there to get an idea of where the landing gear attach to the airframe. deHavilland's web site is . Choose English or French then click on the Beaver and once there go to the bottom for "Technical Diagrams" Lots of info regarding the landing gear/float attachment points, water rudder cabling, etc. Very informative.
