This is really a must have for any pilot or airfield. Would really cut down on frequency related accidents.

Neat piece of equipment!

I have a Multiplex EVO9 Radio System. One of the options available is a frequency scanner module that mounts internally in the TX! Each time you turn on the system, it scans the frequencys to let you know which ones are in use. I believe thats how it works anyway! Might be worth considering but I think it would be more money than this stand alone product!

Thanks for the item numbers! I so want a mutiplex, one day
Even if this unit helps prevent one crash in it's life, it would have paid for itself. I'm impressed with the price.

I recently got one of these checkers. Has anyone had issues with it picking up "ghost frequencies" ( no tx turned on )? Mine picks up channels 13/14 with or with out extra antenna both at home or at the club 25 miles away. It would be a good item to leave in the Tx impound for all to use if we knew it really works!

Some zone directors including me got one of these at cost at the beggining of this season.
We also gave one to the frequency chair and asked him to test it.
I have carried mine around all summer and lent it to tx impounds at five meets and contests so far.
Its simple,it works, and mine is still on its first set of batteries.
It adds a margin of safety especially when there are several txs on the same frequency.
It also is great for switches left on ,when flyers forget the peg on the board, and when pilots have been playing with crystals and the number on the back of the tx no longer matches the crystal. It caught one case where the number on the tx had been incorrect for at least two seasons
