I put a fair amount of effort into getting our club buddy boxes for our Novice training program. I ended up with 3 Futaba boxes with cords, I JR with cord and one Airtronics box with cord. Now we were all set, right? Nope!

At least 5 new students have showed up at the field with the new complete Nexstar package. Everything the student needs to get up and flying! Even includes an Autopilot and a Flight simulator! BUT the Tx included has the NEW Futaba square plug mount and a Trainer Cord IS NOT included. Can't figure why Futaba found it necessary to make this change other than knowing that folks would have to beg, borrow or purchase a new cable! Too bad really, in that, when this Nexstar is a wonderful and complete training package at a reasonable price, the student now has to obtain a completely new Buddy Box cord to be able to get an instructor on the system with him!

Did you check with your Club as to whether they may have a cord for use at your field? I ended up purchasing one at my own cost so that we would have at least one to use for students, especially at the growing popularity of these really inexpensive airplane packages, I expect to see more and more showing up at the field! Just a thought that may help!

I really hope you have luck in being able to obtain one of these cords! All the best in your endevor!

I purchased mine on Ebay quite sometime ago. I actually won it from dragonfly hobbies for 9.00 dollars Cdn and it included shipping.
