I love small towns/communities. In Claremont, large parcels that can't be delivered in person are dropped off at the General store (which is also the post office and video store). The owner is even discrete enough to "forget" my packages when my wife picks up.

And the women think "Stepford wives" is a training video.

Sherriff? IF something happens in town, we send a letter to the Pickering police department.

Is that what we have to do to get good postal service??? Hey, it must be all the good looking women working in your post office.

Don't get me wrong folks, I do like the Canada Post service too. So far all of my stuff got delivered without a single problem. But for the amount of money they charge on Xpresspost, don't we deserve a better and much more secure postal service???

I know that Xpresspost has insurance coverage and is running on an HONEST system basis. What a stupid idea??? Imagine a guy can order a kit, pick it up enjoy it and then turn around to file a claim for not getting it. STUPID IDEA!!!!

I'm now starting to understand why Xpresspost and insured postage are so expensive. We are paying their debt, sort of paying insurance premium for the dishonest ones.

I hope Canada Post can hear our voice. I will not blame on the postal delivery guys, it's not their problem. It's their management problem. It is their stupid policy and we are paying for it.

I have no complaints against Canada Post either. Granted my mailman is a private contractor ( who I had to give a boost to one time ) but he is great to me. He delivers large packages ( not just XpressPost) right to my door and if I'm not home leaves it inside the door for me.

As a matter of fact, I ordered some things from Great Hobbies PEI one day about 2 in the afternoon and asked them to send XpressPost. I GOT IT THE NEXT DAY AT 1:00 P.M. That's less than 24 hours from PEI to central Ontario ( a small community at that ).. Can't beat service like that.

channel38 ( on FM anyway ) lol

I just give him a little something for Christmas to repay his good service
Sheesh, you've got more people there than we do here!?!?!?! I thought you might have ...............ummmm.......about 43 or so. heh heh. We're at 6500. Problem for us at work is, we're on a PO Box so any packages that don't fit in it are dropped at the PO in Parry Sound. We therefore have to drive 15 minutes into town to pick them up. There's a postal outlet 3 minutes away in McKellar but for some reason, they don't hold packages for us? Stupid eh? I have no faith in the postal least not for the rates that they rip us off with.
