It was a great weekend at the Flying Tiger's field for our IMAC competition. One of the largest turnouts that I have personally experienced with over 30 pilots taking part. 16 of those being in BASIC.

I personally send out my thanks to Brian Facey who worked very hard all weekend getting things going and making the contest the grand success that it was. And to Mike Clemmens who pitched in to organize the judging and keep things rolling smooth. As you know it takes a lot of effort on the part of a lot of folks so a thankyou to everyone who pitched in and lent a helping hand. Also to the great crowd of pilots who showed up from all over the provence as far away as Sault Ste Marire and Douberville as well as a couple from Quebec.

I am sure that Jim Daly aka Scaleguy will be posting the final results a bit later on. He too worked so hard entering, tallying and posting the results for the weekend.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves so I expect an even larger contest next year. The next contest this year is to be held in Sudbury officially named the NOIC in approx. three weeks. Hope to see you there. Check out the other forems for updates on this upcoming contest!

Holy Cow, how did the grass come out so green in that pic?
It was as burned and brown as it could possibly get.

Thanks for making it look so good.

Flying Tigers,

Thanks for making our first IMAC such a good experience. We really appreciate how helpful everyone was... we learned a ton.

I was just on the mini-iac website and got the info for the Nats... I didn't know you could do Basic there... that's pretty kewl!!! If I can get some practice time in I may try Sportsman, but I'm not really sure yet... the way things are looking now I may only get to fly once before that event... work's a beotch, eh? Anyways, I may try and talk Amy (and Molly) into a little car ride the first weekend of August... hopefully it's cooler!?!?!?!

Thanks again and keep in touch!

Jason, Amy, and Molly

I just wanted to say thanks to the Flying Tigers for the nice event. A special thank you to all the hard working volunteers. Gary you did a good job keeping the flight line moving. We're gonna start calling you the flight line Nazi Kiddin! For those that didn't attend, you missed a good time. See you guys soon.

I to would like to thank everyone for a fun event. Brian, Gary, Mike, Jim, etc did a great job and without all the judge's efforts it would be impossible.

It never stops amazing me how generally all the IMAC pilots try to encourage and help each other out. Tell me another bunch that a fellow competitor will help you by calling, and in my case lent me his airplane on Sunday after I just proved it wasn't a good idea, and your judge comes out to rescue your plane from the b.b.b.f. (big bad bean field)

Look forward to seeing everyone at future comp's. Can't wait to see what Bob and Tony dream up to pull on Kevin next. Perhaps you guys could avoid dragging the caller into it next time? What did I ever do to you?
