The thing is, for many of us the enjoyment of the hobby is not simply going out and lfying our planes. Yes, some are content to do so, but helping others is a very rewarding part of this hobby. If you can save someone ele the money, heartache and time by a sharing of good ideas - thats the key to promoting and growing this hobby.

Think how many people, saved from a very frustrating experience, may have stuck with it and prosper in the hobby rather than get frustrated and quit.

The entire hobby can only get better for ALL of us, if we grow in numbers, and this site has what I believe it takes to do so.

Just for me personally, it has allowed me to:

- get to know what IMAC is and meet guys to help me get into it, and now I attend events outside our zone.
- try stuff in the field of jets without risking my own $$, and has given me the opportunity to fly with others in the jet arena
- taught me new methods of building and use of hardware, adhesives, etc.
- enticed me to try new forms of flying, ie, scale, that I otherwise never would have...

and more!

Lets keep growing the site, and growing Canadian modeling in a positive and productive way.

1/2A to giant scale, IMAC, SAM, R/C sport, turbine jets, Heli's...
if its got a wing or two and an engine - I like it!

Yes Jason thanks very much for this website!

Andrew & the rest, you're all correct. This really is one heck of a good site for modellers. I don't think I'd be afraid to tackle ANY new project that I could dream up, knowing I can get all the answers here from someone ( or very likely 5 people! ) who really know.

It's also been great for buying & selling too.

no such thing as too fast!

With the internet growing so quickly and the ability to order virtually any RC related item over the net, I find this site to be invaluable. I am able to come on here and ask/discuss the items I am looking at and get advice from people that are far more knowledgable than the LHS most of the time. To boot, the advice from here is not biased as it is from the LHS who is looking to "just sell them an item". I do support my LHS don't get me wrong but I always check here first for the advice and then check my LHS for the item at a competitive price with whats online. This site is by far the best for RC. For me I am lucky as my computer is in my shop and so while I am building or just tinkering I am able to come and spend time online while the glue is drying...lol.

Thanks Jason for all the hard work that I don't even know about.

Great site and great people. I can't seem to find the 1/2A forum though.
1/2A all the way!
