Hitec eclipse 7 or Futaba 7c?

I have the eclipse and I am very happy with it
I use it on everything for a 33% Diablo to a shock flyer
I like the idea of being able to drive ANY receiver
It even does a great job with my shuttle (hover only) haven't progressed to forward flight
I say for the money you can't go wrong
Also it has programming for twin evevator
An airplane is safest in the hanger but thats not what they were built for!!!!!!!!!

I don't think so. Show me what page in the manual. There has been much discussion about this I believe, elsewhere.

QUOTE ELSEWHERE:The Optic is a much better transmitter .........

It allows the use of dual-elevator servos, separate aileron servos with a regular 5 channel receiver, ........

Now if you don't need dual elevator or use a Y and you don't need dual aileron on a 5 channel (like me) then it is a good radio. Been very good to me.

Futaba vs. Hitec

The best one would be the type your instructor (flight or programming) or flying buddies use.

I have a 7cap (PCM) with digital servos installed in my trainer, I hope to use this radio for many years and not get stuck with a four channel FM radio with no programability. I had one of those years back.
