Humber Valley Hawks and HVRCF present the:
2005 Death Valley Dogfight
Sunday July 10th, 2005
Contest Director: Dan "Buzz" Paluzzi
This will be a 1/12 scale combat event
All 2005 CNPS rules will apply.
Trophies to 3rd place
Registration fee: $20
Round 1 starts at 11:00 a.m. sharp!
This is a warm-up for the nats, so PLEASE make sure your plane meets the 2005 rules criteria.
Scale fidelity will be determined at my discretion from 15' away. (I wont be a nazi about this, but dont show up with a pink P51 with an open cockpit and no engine cowl unless you can prove it flew during the war.)
Planes who's original winspan was 36' and under will be allowed a MAXIMUM 40" wingspan.
Planes that were larger will be allowed a plus 10% deviation from 1/12 scale.
Maximum weight will be 3.5 lbs dry.
Planes must be single seat with fixed fwd firing machine guns and must have seen service between 1935 and 1945.
No non-production airplanes of that era will be allowed.
If you have an obscure plane, make sure you have 3 views and/or photos proving that it actually was in service.
My criteria will be based on "The Great Book of Fighters", a 600 page illustrated encyclopedia of every fighter aircraft ever built and flown
The complete rules are available at: http://www.aircombat.ca/rccombat/for...calecombat.pdf
If you are unsure of your aircraft, please contact me at email@example.com and I will be more than happy to help you out.
WW1 scramble after the event if time permits.
Disssssssss---missssssed (in my best Col. Klink impersonation)
