Got out to the field last night, for the first time in a couple of weeks. Wanted to do a couple of trim flights on my LT after rebuilding the tail feathers that were munched during an extraction from a tree. (no other damage)

As luck would have it, I found I was the FOURTH person on channel 28! However, I was able to get in the two flights I wanted.

But the REAL highlight of the evening was when Mike (aka Inverted Mike) and Dan took up their GP Corsairs. Virtually identical blue planes screaming around the sky and doing low passes in tandem for eight to ten minutes. Absolutely breathtaking as they flew virtually in formation for the entertainment of those present. Jimmy (aka Crash Taylor) was there videotaping, and I hope to see some excerpts show up on the club web site as a video file some day soon.

Yes, I agree that would look very impressive. A few years ago, myself and an older member of the club who has since passed away, flew our 40 size Spitfires in formation. It's a lot harder than it looks and we just about collided on one occasion, but boy! did they look cool together! Summer of 1940, here we come!

that would look real cool in the air, especially if they were flying exactly in formation as if they were in full scale air show...

hope to see some of the video up on RCC soon!!
