My plans include:

Repair Tracer 40
Find/repair popped glue joints on Aresti will need recovering
Build Sig Wonder from plans
Make Materials list and templates for a George Miller A-10 and Andy Sherber's 1/3 scale Pitts
Do some CAD redesign work on a 60 size pattern plane Changing foam wing/tail to wood built

Here's hoping I get half that done.......

I have to get a CG Chipmunk tthat was custom kitted by an old flying buddy ready to fly in the spring

I have a 90" Twin Otter that has to be ready for Fathers Day next year (Model Builder Plans)

And in the next month I need to get a King Kobra that has been collecting dust for 7years assembled and flying as well as the very new (just yesterday) Giles 202 40 size arf to get in the air.

Smaller list than most, but that Otter is in rough shape from sitting and I need to make a bunch of Fiberglass parts for it. In a 6x8 room. With 6 planes hanging on the wall.

I wonder if I should just relocate to the attic?

Let's see...

I'll still be repairing the carnage from this summer for awhile yet. Lanier p-47 crunched wing, Sportster bipe wing mounts, recover the Kadet Sr., finish the old telemaster for my son...

I sure would like to finish off a Great Planes P-51 that's been 3/4 built for 8 (wow where did the time go) years.

Accumulated kits...Top Flite Gold Mustang, Jug and Spitfire, red box Corsair, etc.

Everything will be obsolete before I get time to build them, including me!

It is better to break ground and head into the wind than to break wind and head into the ground.

plans! Plans! And more Plans! I just added another project today! Repair my 60 size big stik on floats. On its maiden flight today, it flipped to the right three times, before I finally damaged it. Darned if my ailerons weren't optioned properly. Here I go, learning that same lesson...again and again...and again. I have age creeping up as my only excuse

Well, here are my meager plans for this winter.

1. Clean up the "hobby room"
2. Have a look around, inventory
3. Make a list and acquire misc parts to restock in preparation for building season (glue, clips, rods, hinges, screws, tubing, etc, etc)
4. Service all engines. Disassemble, clean, oil, re-assemble, store.
5. Build some new Tx and Rx packs
6. Check out the top shelf and decide which kits to build, which to keep, which to sell.
7. Check out the next shelf down and decide which engines to keep, which to sell.
8. Check out the RCCanada For-Sale Airplanes for anything that my suit my fancy.
9. Start building.
9.1 Setup the skis for the GP Super Cub
9.2 Finish floats for the GP Super Cub

I would like to do 2 planes this winter - which I have the kits
9.3 CG Ultimate
9.4 GP Extra

Will thin down the stock to fund the builds by selling the following NIB kits:

SIG Hog Bipe
SIG Somethin' Extra
GP SuperSportster MKII
Engines for the above
Misc excess servos for above
Misc excess receivers for above

Used and flown, but in very good condition SIG Kadet LT40. Low airtime.

- Get the "hanger" at the lake property ready to use. (Need to rip up and replace the entire floor, as the former owner made it of chipboard with a rubber/wood fibre composite laid over it and it's spongy/rotten as all get out.)

- Finish the rebuild of the Super Sportster that didn't like flying without the ailerons being plugged in.

- Get on with rebuilding the Kadet Senior that was given to me in chunks. (Conversion to twin taildragger, with addition of ailerons, and maybe flaps)

- Get something on floats for next spring.

- Convince wife I really need another airplane to add to the collection.

Well I sold the old Big Lazy Ace and after ordering a logs worth of Balsa started a new one with semi airfoils and four ailerons.
The tail feathers, wings, fuse bulkheads, and fuse sides are done and I will probably finish the framing in a week or so.
Going to use the simplified cabane structure, solid landing gear, and a glass cowl just like the last one and my 44cc Moki (RCS) gas twin will be the power plant.
Going Ultracote on the flying surfaces and Latex sprayed over fabric on the rest.

Well it is good to see that people are actually planing to BUILD!

I was getting the impression that most winter plans were:- Mail order an ARF, Mail order an ARF, Mail order an ARF..........

I am from the old school and have only assembled one arf. That was for a friend so probably does not count. Going to do a lot on my CF100 I hope this winter and also build something aerobatic around 80". Just got to get a 3 view of something and draw it up.
How many are you building this winter? I use to build 3 formula 1's and 3 Q500's every winter. Hope to have at least one of each left over at the end. They then get delagated to practice and start fresh with the new ones. Havn't been into it for a while but maybe next year for some local contests.
