order it from ronlunds or heliproz
I think ron lund stocks them. I got mine directly from statorgator but the service is really hit and miss getting it directly from tom. Your better off buying it from ricks or heliprozs if its in stock.
http://www.statorgator.com/shop/ (tom fiddlers homepage) http://www.ronlund.com/ I wasnt able to aquire one in canada Dean and had to resort to buying from the us. Just make sure you get the right model stator GGS-23 is the one you want. Did you get the hanson modified 231 or the stock one?

Yup
You are right. No one in Canada appears to sell them so ordered one from Ricks along with a new Futaba 611 gyro. I have the stock 231 and V2 muffler. All I can say is wow! I have been focused on turbine jet modeling the last 5 years and have not been in touch with all the changes in the heli world. Started construction of the kit yesterday - can't beleive how easy heli construction has become! At the point I left I could fly and hover inverted but never mastered backward or harder 3D. Just made arrangements for heli school with Todd Bennent in LA for 5 days. Really pumped about getting back into it! Dean Wichmann |

Heya Dean,
How's everything on The Predator Gasser working out? I meant to tell you the last time that I spoke to you that one of the local Jet jocks that you know (Sylvain) has been flying a Predator Gasser all summer. Ask him what he thinks of it compared to his Vario Benzine (I bet he will tell you he is very impressed with it )Phil

Well guys, I am really into the construction now ( after a little " work stuff " delay ) and I have to say that the Predator gasser is one sweet build! I have been flying helis since 1976 and have built literally hundreds over the years for myself and friends ( Schluter, American R/C, Hirobo, Kalt, GMP, TSK, Vario, Miniature Aircraft, Kyosho ) and not since the TSK days have I seen such quality. The fit and finish of parts thus far is excellent - I have not had to file, sand, rebend or drill a single piece. The fan / clutch runout first fit was within .0018 requiring no further tapping, shimming, etc. Even the fan shroud fit perfectly with no cutouts required! One thing I always wondered about was the use of thrust bearings on the main shaft. I knew they took up a vertical load and one was generally included in kits but with more guys flying inverted should there not be a second one on the other side of the upper bearing block. Well, low and behold the Century Predator has it. The designers must have spent a lot of time carefully going over the small details because it shows. I am not much into the bling thing but I did go ahead and buy the prepainted green / silver / black canopy...and wow is it ever nicely done! And a bargain too!
Speaking of no bling, for the past 4 - 5 seasons I have been flying a Falcon SE with a OS .46 just plain no additional shiny bits. It has a lot and I mean a lot of flight time on it. I do light 3D ( rolls, loops, 540s, inverted flight, hover, flips ) and autos with the machine. NOT A SINGLE COMPONENT has been replaced since new and that includes the head dampers. My understanding is that the Predator features the latest in technology which will make me even happier with the Century product! So...back to building....I'll post some pics once I figure how to do it here! Dean Wichmann MAAC 14436 |
