OS 32 Starting Failure

Well, had the new heli out on the pad last night to try and run up the engine. Primed it by turning over the engine with the
exhaust closed, then ran the starter. I don't think the starter has ever turned so much. Engine wouldn't even fire once. The glow plug checked ok, was brand new OS 8 and quite dry. I am assuming the needle jets are plugged from sitting?

Hey Cassat, you check the needle settings? I have had the same problem only to remember I hadnt set the needles. I returned them to the stock settings, and it fired right up!! If this does not help it could be the needles are gummed like you said, or your glow batteries??

Ancient test, you may already know...

remove the needle valve, hook up your fuel pump to the carb intake and pump some fuel through the assembly to clean out any potential blockage.

Hope this helps....
