Great Hobbies buys exclusively from Hiflight.

The caption was to cover all product that had been sold since before Hiflight started stickering their product.

Example: John Doe bought a servo 5 years ago that he detroyed in a crash last week. He buys a new servo from a Hiflight supplied dealer and decides to "cash in" with the old servo. He now has a sales receipt saying he purchased the servo this year. Oops. Sorry John Doe, you silly rascal you! The old servo does NOT have a hiflight sticker, and thus, is "not available" for warranty replacement!

Hope this clears everything up!

I stand corrected. And that does make much more sense.

Good profits in upselling.

At $5 more per servo (hs81mg), or $6 more (hs85mg) you get a one year Highflight warranty.

Thats about a 24% premium, a bit steep for a one year warranty (imnsho).

Future shop sells extended warranty for about 5%-7% per year. Retail.

I don't know about where you live, but there is implied warranty in the Comsumer Protection Act.

Don't get me wrong, I have some servos with the Highflight sticker and some without, but the Highflight branded servos were on 'clearance' and the others were not on special.
