Uproar conversion

Hey all. A friend of mine has an 40 size Uproar and was wondering what would be involved in converting it to electric. It flies great with a TT42 on the nose now. Not looking for full out 3D flying. I'm guessing about 4-4 1/2 lbs total flying weight. I know a brushless setup with Li-Po would be the way to go but is there a cheaper alternative.

well i had a sureflite spitfire that was 6lbs
and i had this in it

magnetic mayhem reverse rotation motor on a greatplanes 3.1:1 gearbox
10 subc sanyo 2400mah cells
12x8 apc-e prop and a 50 amp greatplanes esc

pulling about 25 amps static
it flew good did loops and roll's

flight time about 5 minutes

total cost about 175 so its a bit cheaper than going brushless

but going brushless is way more worth the extra money

if your friend was to go brushless i would strongly recommend a AXI 28/26/10 on 4s2p lipo pack

about 45 amps static 11x8.5 apc prop 4lbs thrust 80 mph pitch speed
this flys a 6lb war bird with athority

a greatplanes texan
